Architecture Need Not Be Spectacular. Jo Crepain's Vision of Building
(Marc Dubois) The Low Countries - 2008, № 16, pp. 242-247
The way the newly-graduated Jo Crepain made his appearance on the Belgian architectural scene was forceful and convincing. In recent years Crepain Binst Architecture has won a number of major competitions in Flanders. In these projects the firm continues with its established method: making the best use of the possibilities offered by the site, in combination with the development of a clearly structured building. No spectacular, demonstrative approach will be taken in these projects either. The firm still opts for architecture whose qualities are restrained calm and elegant proportions.
