British film-maker Peter Greenaway regards himelf as 'almost, in some senses, an honorary Dutchman'. No wonder, then, that he chose Amsterdam for his debut in a new perfomance art form, opera. Rosa: A Horse Drama (music by Louis Andriessen) premiered on 2 November 1994 at the Amsterdam Muziektheater.
