Marcel Minnaert (1893-1970) was a Flemish activist, an astrophysicist, a professor, an educational reformer, a social and scientific pioneer, and an advocate of Esperanto. Leo Molenaar wrote the account of a packed, rich and multifaceted life, in which science and politics continually came into contact and which was not lacking an element of drama and tragedy.
