In her thirty-five-year career, Judith Herzberg ( 1934-) has rarely diverged from the casual manner. And like her fellow poets, she often dwells on the ordinary things in ordinary life. What stands out in her work is the way she turns the ordinary at a moment's notice into the extraordinary, how - without loss of clarity - she jumps from innocent observation to significant insight.
