A practising Muslim, a Dutchman and a Maroccan, who came as a boy to the Netherlands, is in charge of the largest port in the world. Following the murder of Theo Van Gogh he said that young Muslims who didn't share core Dutch values should better leave, but on the other hand he refused to give up Maroccan nationality.
