If the total of your donations in a calendar year is at least €40, you are entitled to a tax certificate. This will be sent to you automatically during the following year. You will thus receive 45% of the donated amount back. This means that for a donation of, say, €100, you end up spending only €55. *
*The tax deductibility only applies to Belgian donations for the time being. Dutch donors can also enjoy a tax advantage starting in October.
